Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026 · Operated by X-ion

These Terms govern your use of Scrutium, operated by X-ion. By using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Accounts, age, and security

Some features require an account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. The minimum age is configured for the deployment and defaults to 13; age verification, parental consent, or other restrictions may apply. Do not use the service if you do not meet the age requirement that applies to you.

AI responses are not guaranteed

AI systems can produce inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, or misleading responses, including invented facts or citations. Responses may not reflect current events unless an available search or live-data tool is used, and tool availability depends on the selected model and service configuration. Check important claims against reliable sources and review generated code before running or publishing it.

AI responses are provided for general informational and creative use. They are not professional medical, legal, financial, safety, or other regulated advice. Do not rely on a response as the sole basis for a consequential decision or use the service in an emergency.

Your content and AI processing

You keep your rights to content you submit, to the extent you hold them. You give X-ion permission to host, store, transmit, format, and process that content as needed to provide, secure, and maintain the features you use. This includes sending prompts, conversation context, and relevant document text to the provider serving your selected AI model, and sending tool queries to relevant search or live-data providers when you invoke those tools.

Do not submit content you do not have permission to share, or information you cannot accept being processed by the service and its providers. Scrutium does not train its own foundation model on user chats. Third-party providers have their own terms and data practices; Scrutium cannot make promises on their behalf.

Published apps and sharing

You are responsible for the content, code, permissions, and data handling of projects and apps you create or publish. Public apps can be viewed by anyone and may be indexed or copied. Link-only apps can be accessed by anyone who obtains the link. Private apps are intended to be visible only to their owner. Review the selected visibility before publishing and do not include secrets or personal data in a public build.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to break the law, infringe others' rights, exploit or endanger people, distribute malware, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with service availability, bypass usage limits, or upload content you are not authorized to use. We may restrict or suspend access to investigate abuse, protect users and infrastructure, or comply with law.

Third-party providers and keys

The service depends on hosting, authentication, storage, AI, and optional search or live-data providers. Their services may be unavailable and their own terms apply. If you connect your own provider API key, you authorize Scrutium to use it to make requests for your selected model. You are responsible for any charges or obligations imposed by that provider. Saved provider keys are encrypted in the Scrutium database and can be removed in Settings.

Availability and changes

Features, model access, and usage limits can change. We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service is provided as available, subject to rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
